This Memorial Day weekend, join us at the Pump House for the first-ever Cape Cod Cold Water Log Fest’s Artisan Market and Board Swap.  The artists joining us Saturday, May 23rd, are Lucia Moon Designs, Healing Hands Apothecary, J. Alexis Designs, Stryker Made, Salted Wave Studio, and Harrington and Co. The Cape Cod Ocean Community will be present, as well as our co-sponsor for the event, the Cape & Islands Surfrider Foundation.  Get excited for art, grilling, and if you’re able, don’t forget to bring a surfboard to buy, sell, or trade!! 

On either May 30th or 31st, we will be hosting the first annual Cold Water Log Fest longboard surf competition at our favorite Wellfleet town beach. Depending on surf and weather conditions, we will decide the exact day and beach of the competition one week beforehand.  First, second, and third place winners can expect trophies along with potential prizes sponsored by Billabong Wetsuits, Bing Surfboards, Sanuk footwear, Dark Seas Clothing, Hobie Eyewear, Prolite surf accessories, FCS fin company, Maui Jim Eyewear, and C-Monsta. We will have a charity raffle on the day of the event. We hope you will all join us at the beach for a celebration of surf, competition, and giving back to our local community! 

There are three charitable organizations to which all profits from the Cold Water Log Fest will be allocated this year: our local chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, the Fleet Fund, and the Arthur Medici Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Surfrider on the Cape and Islands is constantly working towards keeping our waters clean and helping all restaurants and businesses become more ocean-friendly. 

The Fleet Fund helps Wellfleet families in need of financial help with rent, groceries, and so much more. 

The Arthur Medici Memorial Scholarship goes to a local student who is a part of our ocean community to help pay towards their college tuition. 

To celebrate equality, during the Cold Water Log Fest, all men and women will compete together as equals within each age bracket.  To register to compete in our competition, you will need to complete our liability waiver and registration form, along with paying the $40 registration fee. That $40 fee will secure you a place in the contest, a competition t-shirt, and a commemorative sticker pack. Please fill out the form with what size T-shirt you would like, along with what age group you would like to compete in.  T-shirt orders will all come as assorted colors amongst heather slate blue, heather light olive, and cream.  You will be welcome to swap out colors during order pick up as long as alternative supplies last.   All orders will be available for pick up at the Pump House starting May 23rd.  Any orders not picked up at the shop will be available for pickup at the contest.
